Description
A fine Chinese porcelain teacup decorated with the image of a dragon.
This porcelain is distinguished by its thinness comparable to that of an eggshell, its ability to maintain flavour (but not to accumulate it – so it can be used to drink different varieties) and temperature of the brew for long enough, as well as by the gentle and painstaking approach to manufacturing, which gives the product a certain sophistication.
The drawing, made mainly with cobalt oxide, is very symbolic – it’s a cloud dragon, the symbol of the emperor and of the plentiful rain, amplified by spiralling clouds.
