Description
This variety is grown at the foot of Huangshan mountain in the Taiping prefecture, Anhui province. This green tea with a very unusual appearance and a vivid, memorable taste, has been produced since the early 20th century. Taiping Houkui has won many awards at various exhibitions, including the title of “King of tea” at the China Tea Exhibition 2004. And before that, in 1915, it was included in the China’sFamous Teas. It has a delicate orchid aroma, a sweet taste with a variety of tones, a long, fresh aftertaste and is very memorable for its beautiful flat leaves.
