Honey Orchid Dan Cong
Guangdong oolong
This group of oolong teas from the southern province of Guangdong has a common name – Feng Huang Dan Cong (Lonely bush from the Phoenix Mountain). Guangdong is a place rich in tea traditions. Tea plants in this area taller than human bushes with one large trunk, more like trees. Some of them are more than a hundred years old. Dan Cong teas are distinguished by their ability to mimic natural flavours of fruits and flowers, such as grapefruit and orchid.

Description

This variety is the most popular and well known of the Feng Huang Dan Cong tea family among fans of oolong tea. The reason why this tea is so popular is its incredibly pleasant floral and fruity aroma. Because of its strong fragrance Mi Lan Xiang Dan Cong is often confused with flavoured teas, especially when tasted for the first time. Our tea is harvested from old tea trees on Mount Wudong. Because of its unique soil and climate this particular area is considered ideal for cultivating Dan Cong teas. Mount Wudong tea is highly prized among tea drinkers in China, Japan and other countries.
